Also see todo list!
Log #3
--- August 10th, 2026 ---
Hello again. A few developments (eh? eh?) have happened since my last log. Let's jump right into it!
I got a little more skilled, and I added a top header bar for navigating this site a bit more easily! This site's starting to look a hair stylish, I daresay. This also led to me working with .CSS a bit more comfortably (and not like a crazy person), so for any other frontend web devs out there, this basically means that I've learned how to use selectors with ids and classes from my stylesheet instead of using the 'style' attribute for everything and relying on memory to keep things consistent, plus a little bit of cleanup here and there. I'll have to do a polish round across everything here by the next couple of changelogs, as well.
I've also added a web-specific version of my custom keyboard tutorial in case anyone wants to window-shop or needs a 2nd device to look at system recovery without downloading any of the documents or something.
I've also learned how to use Git via the terminal, and started a Godot 4.7 (Games development) project file for anyone to peek at, evaluate, or give feedback on! This project is being made from scratch, and if I'm thinking about this right, you should be able to see my progress over time by making way to the GitHub repository containing the gamedev project at any time by checking out my commits starting from "2026-08-10 Start of list selection development".
This'll be the point where I start leaning more into the games development stuff, BUT I still plan on finishing this site's TODO list as opposed to, y'know, functionally abandoning them by saying "I'll do it later" over and over.
That being said, experimental ideas with style points will likely go to the experimental playground area when I get to them. I'll also try to finish studying the basics of HTML/.CSS from w3schools in the meantime for practical notes so I can do cooler stuff with this site eventually, which will probably be added here to double as transparent progression.
Also, I should *really* add content to the extra links that don't yet go anywhere, those "Coming soon" pages are starting to really add up.
That's everything for now, though! Have a good rest of your day. Or night.

I didn't want to mentally load every single thing I had to do here, so a TODO list was a very obvious next step. I don't see a reason to keep this private, so a public todo list has been settled! This should also stop these from being too wordy in the future. I also cleaned the site up a bit to be a touch more user-friendly.
The XKB (keyboard) tutorial download page still needs to be cleaned up, and still needs an online version alongside preview images, which is current priority; I'll have to speedrun a generalist HTML tutorial since what I want to do for structuring is more advanced than what I have knowledge of right now, though. You should start seeing next ideas on this site's public TODO list, so I get to mostly skip talking about any of that in a verbose style in this page past this point (finally). That's about it for now, though.
Bye!

I made a tutorial explaining how to make your own custom keyboard layout in Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.3, because it wasn't immediately obvious to me after moving over from Windows 11.
This marks the first project on here! There's terse and verbose versions plus plenty of other flavours of this text on here.
The tutorial's nice, but this site is still super bland. And a little hard to read when not in a vertical layout, actually. There's still work to be done here while I learn.
After I finish cleaning up the tutorial page, I'm probably going to add a TODO list somewhere public, and will try either experimenting with a little style or some basic functionality, like a public bulletin board.
Also see this site's TODO List for anything that's being planned!
